A place to visit in Bangalore

The ever growing city of Bangalore, India, attracts a lot of public from around the country as well as around the world. This includes tourists and also people moving in for jobs. It is known as the Silicon City of India, and there would not be many who would disagree.

There are a number of places to visit in and around Bangalore. I personally like to visit the gardens in the city. Cubbon Park is the one we mostly visit. There are museums, historical monuments, etc. in the city and resorts and other places about 50-100 kms away from the hustle bustle of the city.

I live in the city and my family longs for a weekend to arrive, so that we can move out to visit places around. Here, I would like to talk about one such place we visited and it was indeed one fun filled trip. The Innovative Film City.

About 35 kms from the centre of the city, the Innovative Film City offers fun-filled and entertaining activities across all age groups. It is not as big as Ramoji Film city in Hyderabad, India, but it has all that will keep you occupied for a half day tour. Rs. 460/-, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, is the package worth taking.

Some of the recent attractions added are the ‘Kabali’ movie walkthrough, and the access to the kannada ‘Bigg Boss 4’ House. Yes, the actual Bigg Boss 4 house.

So as of today, 30th April, 2017, my ratings(my perspective), where the higher in rank is higher on entertainment/fun/experience index for activities are as follows:

Outdoor Activities:

  1. Aqua Kingdom
  2. The Cartoon City – The Roller coaster.
  3. The new Bicycle track. Don’t remember the name of the section. It is a part of the Cartoon City section.
  4. Mini Golf
  5. Go Kart. – Need to pay.
  6. Fossil hunt

Indoor Activities:

  1. Bigg Boss House Tour – Available until 5:00pm.
  2. Tussaud’s Wax Museum
  3. Ripley’s Believe it or not
  4. Kabali Movie Walk-Through – Available until 6:00pm.
  5. The Mirror Maze.
  6. The Haunted Mansion.
  7. Super Minute.

So my suggestion is take the half day package for Rs. 460/- from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, and visit the top rated places listed above first. And then if time permits, you can always take up more. Kids below the age of 3 are allowed entry for free.

Have your lunch early and start. You would take about 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the location from the centre of the city. It would be great to have your own ride, but if you decide to take a cab, book it for the rest of the day too. Getting back home to the city might get tricky otherwise. Traffic is some thing no one speaks of when writing travel blogs. I would like to give you a heads up on the massive traffic getting back to the city. So get ready for that and make the traffic terrific for all travelling along with you. Happy traveling.
