Simple Recipe to make Ghee Rice, Chicken Curry and Chicken fry

I love the combo of chicken curry, Ghee rice and Chicken fry. It is Infact the best combo when served with raita (onion salad with curd).

This is a healthy yet mouth watering recipe that I will share with you now and yes very easy to make.

You just need to take a deep breath forget about anything that is mentally troubling you and indulge in the procedure of making this yummylicous recipe, because only then it will become tasty 😋

Lets first start with chicken marination for chicken 🍗 deep fry.

Chicken Fry



250 Grams Chicken legs/Chicken breast

1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

1 table spoon Green Masala Paste

1 table spoon tandoori masala

2 tablespoon curd

1 tablespoon cornflour

1 egg

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 tsp chilly powder

sprinkle food colour(Red)- optional


Clean the chicken, seperate leg pieces and chicken breast (approx 250 grams). Add all the ingredients mentioned above, Marinade it for an hour and deep fry until it is cooked.

Ghee Rice

It is an aromatic one pot rice which is made up of lots of ghee and spices. It is very simple yet flavourful.

Lets check out the recipe.


2 Cups of Rice (Soaked in water for 20 minutes)

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 tablespoon ghee (Clarified Butter)

Whole spices(3 cardamom , 3 Cinnamon stick,2 cloves)

Spring Onion / Onion


Handful of mint leaves

Handful coriander leaves

4 cups of Water

salt as per taste


Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, Add whole spices and cumin seeds let them sizzle and splutter for 5 seconds. Now add onion, fry it until golden brown, add tomato (optional). Fry again till it becomes soft. Add salt, mint leaves, coriander leaves and green part of spring onion. Next add water allow it to boil. Finally add rice, let it again boil for a while and now you can close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook it for 2 whistles.

Chicken Potato Curry



500 grams of chicken

2 potatoes peeled and cut it into cube size.

1 large onion

1 large tomato

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/2 cup coconut grated

1 tsp chilly powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

Coriander leaves for garnishing.

1 cup water and as required

salt to taste.


Coconut Paste: Place the grated coconut in a pan and dry roast it, Add chilly powder and garam masala roast it for a while and grind it into a fine paste.

Add oil in a pot, next add onion and sauce it until golden brown, And fresh ginger garlic paste and cook till light brown.

Add tomatoes, let it become soft. Add green masala paste, Turmeric powder, Lime juice and now add chicken and potato. Cook it for a while covered.

Add coconut paste into the mixture, mix it well add water as much needed. Check for the consistency and salt. Cook it well till chicken and potato becomes tender.

Garnish it with Coriander.
